Steelhead are one of the most sought after fish in the Pacific Northwest. Catching a Steelhead on a fly is an accomplished many anglers dream of. Steelhead are aggressive fighters and acrobatic jumpers. Catching a Steelhead is one of the most difficult challenges available to a fly angler. On Prince of Wales Island we have a multiple rivers and streams that receive a Steelhead run. The variety of water we have to fish is a unique privilege that makes our area special. We fish for Steelhead using a variety of methods including swinging streamers with spey and switch rods as well as dead drifting beads, nymphs, and streamers with single-hand rods.
