Dolly Varden

April 15th - September 30th

Dolly Varden are a sea-run Char similar in size and feeding habits of a trout. Dollies are very aggressive predators that live primarily off of the Salmon lifecycle. In the spring Dolly Varden can be found in estuaries gorging on salmon smolt and follow spawning salmon into local streams where they spend the summer and fall feeding on salmon eggs.
